A CONSOLIDATED EXPERIENCE
BASED ON SOLID PRINCIPLES
The first company operating in the steel business under Marcora’s name dates back to 1878, but it was in 1908, that Giuseppe Marcora reinforced the corporate activity and started producing cold-drawn and cold-rolled sections.
In 1931, supported by his three sons, he expanded the range of products by first installing two furnaces for steel-casting production and, then a small “pilgrim process“ hot-rolling mill for the production of seamless tubes and the subsequent cold-drawing. To all this is added the start-up, in the 50ies, of a hot-rolling mill for long products.
It gets to 1995, the year in which the company decides to move the old production site, located in the historical centre of Busto Arsizio, to the current headquarters in Cuggiono. In this way, an important logistic expansion and a total renewal installation are carried out, with the simultaneous decision to deal exclusively with the production of long hot-rolled products. During the following years, Metallurgica Marcora has constantly implemented measures to achieve a technological improvement, aimed at maintaining maximum production efficiency and with the utmost attention to environmental and workplace safety aspects.
Metallurgica Marcora‘s goal is to turn the needs of its Customers into consistent answers to their expectations and suited to the more and more timely restricted market demand.
Hence the great attention paid by Metallurgica Marcora to supply small lots of material, availability for the production of hot-rolled products with particular technical and qualitative details, as well as a reliable after-sales support.
Metallurgica Marcora believes that professional capability and experience of its staff, as well as the suitability of its facilities, the essential resources to obtain the Customer satisfaction and the pursuit of “continuous improvement”.
