Birth of the first company operating in the steel busness under Marcora’s name

Giuseppe Marcora reinforced the corporate activity and started producing cold-drawn and cold-rolled sections.

Supported by his three sons, he expanded the range of products by first installing two furnaces for steel-casting production and, then a small “ pilgrim process “ hot-rolling mill for the production of seamless tubes and the subsequent cold-drawing.

The company decides to move the old production
site, located in the historical centre of Busto Arsizio, to the current headquarters in Cuggiono. In this way, an important logistic expansion and a total renewal installation are carried out, with the simultaneous decision to deal exclusively with the production of long hot-rolled products.
